The campaign's main objective is to facilitate access to information, advice, and risk and harm reduction strategies related to the use of psychoactive substances in leisure and sexualized contexts. It seeks a preventive, accessible, confidential intervention adapted to the needs of the participants.
The phenomenon of chemsex is characterized by the intentional use of drugs to have sex for extended periods, ranging from several hours to several days. This practice is predominantly associated with gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (GBHSH).
To complement the initiative, a Substance Analysis service will be offered, allowing users to know the composition of drugs and receive personalized advice to reduce harm and risks.
The campaign emphasizes the importance of avoiding stigmatizing reductionism and understanding the cultural and structural conditions that influence the phenomenon. It is noted that not all drug use linked to sex is considered chemsex, and that it is associated with substances that enhance sensory pleasure, sexual stamina, or disinhibition, such as cocaine, speed, ketamine, MDMA, poppers, or erection medications.
The project promotes positive preventive actions to create an egalitarian, safe, and free festive context, encouraging responsible consumption of alcohol and other drugs, preventing sexually transmitted infections, and avoiding sexual violence in nightlife and festive events.
