The islands of La Palma and El Hierro, along with other regions of Spain, are under alert this Tuesday for a combination of rain, storms, wind, and high waves, according to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).

The arrival of a trough, associated with a cold air mass and its fronts, will bring very cloudy skies with precipitation to the western half of the archipelago, especially from the afternoon. In other areas, cloudy intervals are expected.
Precipitation could be locally heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms, with strong wind gusts and small hail not ruled out. Wave warnings have been specifically activated for La Palma and El Hierro.
Regarding temperatures, AEMET forecasts a generalized drop across the Canary Islands, more pronounced in the peaks and mid-altitudes. Winds will be moderate to strong from the northwest, tending to strengthen and shift to the north.

The entry of a trough associated with a cold air mass and its associated fronts will bring very cloudy skies with precipitation to the western half and abundant high clouds to the eastern half and the Balearic Islands this Tuesday.

In addition to the Canary Islands, other communities such as Andalusia, Castilla y León, Extremadura, and Galicia will also be under alert for adverse weather phenomena, including rainfall exceeding 15 liters per square meter per hour and wind gusts of over 70 kilometers per hour.
