The incident took place at 11:37 PM on May 3rd on the GC-202 road. After receiving the alert, 112 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources to attend to those involved.
Among the injured were two women aged 80. One suffered a severe facial and hip trauma and was transported by a medicalized ambulance to the Hospital Universitario de Gran Canaria Doctor Negrín. The other sustained moderate thoracic trauma and was evacuated by a basic life support ambulance to the Hospital Universitario Insular de Gran Canaria.
Also injured were a 30-year-old man with moderate thoracic trauma, taken to Hospital Doctor Negrín; a 19-year-old woman with minor multiple contusions, evacuated to Hospital Perpetuo Socorro; and an 18-year-old man, who presented with mild cervicalgia and was transferred to the same hospital.
The operation involved one medicalized ambulance and three basic life support ambulances from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC), in addition to personnel from the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium and the Local Police. Firefighters secured the involved vehicles, while the Local Police managed traffic and prepared the corresponding report.
