A fire broke out in a dwelling in Gran Canaria, in the municipality of Telde, leading to the evacuation of a building and leaving five people injured, including a 13-year-old minor who fell from the property.

The blaze started around 12:30 PM in a home located on Fernando Sagaseta street, in the Jinámar neighborhood. The Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) received the alert and mobilized emergency services.
Firefighters from the Consorcio de Emergencias de Gran Canaria rescued seven people and several animals from inside the building. The flames, which completely engulfed the apartment, were extinguished and the area ventilated.
The medical team from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) attended to five individuals. Three were transferred to healthcare facilities. Among the injured is a 13-year-old minor, with moderate injuries after falling from the affected building, who was taken by a SUC medicalized ambulance to the Hospital Universitario Materno Infantil de Gran Canaria.
A 71-year-old woman suffered moderate smoke inhalation and was transported to the Hospital Universitario Insular de Gran Canaria. Another 71-year-old woman experienced an anxiety attack and was taken to the Centro de Salud de Jinámar.
Officers from the Local Police and National Police secured the area and carried out the necessary procedures, while Civil Protection collaborated with the emergency resources.
