The hospital, affiliated with the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, has once again completed its training activities, hosting university and non-university students.
In the medical area, 295 students completed their training period, with 280 of them coming from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) and the rest from other academic institutions.
The nursing area hosted the largest number of students, with a total of 933 students. Of these, 564 were studying Nursing, 105 Auxiliary Nursing, 122 Physiotherapy, four Dietetics and Nutrition, 108 Technicians, and thirty from other universities.
Furthermore, in the Management and General Services area, six individuals completed their internships in 2025, covering fields such as administration, administrative management, electricity, and electronics.
Medical students rotate annually through various medical and surgical services, while nursing students begin their internships from their second year, participating in different areas of the hospital. Physiotherapy students undertake their training in the hospital's Rehabilitation service.
