The reigning League champions, Rocasa Gran Canaria, have announced the signing of left-back Alba Tort for the next two seasons, thus reinforcing their squad with young talent.

The Catalan player, born in Palautordera in 2004, arrives from CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife, a team with which she has recently competed in the elite of national handball. Tort, who signs for two seasons, will bring power in her long-range shots and defensive solidity thanks to her 1.85 meters height.
Trained in the youth ranks of CH Palautordera, she made the leap to high-level handball at just 18 years old by joining KH-7 Balonmano Granollers, where she played for three seasons in the Liga Guerreras Iberdrola and participated in European competition. Furthermore, she has been an international in youth categories with the Spanish national team, participating in the Youth World Championship.
With this signing, the Telde-based club reaffirms its commitment to a competitive and balanced project, combining youth and proven talent to aim for all titles again. Tort thus becomes the second acquisition after the signing of goalkeeper Ana Palomino.

"Playing for Rocasa means taking a step forward in my career, being part of a historic club with an ambitious project that has just won the championship makes me happy and fills me with excitement."
