The Gran Canaria Bike Team has once again showcased its potential in the Spanish Women's Road Cycling Cup, with a remarkable performance by its riders in two events held in Galicia.

Cyclists Sara Quintero and Valeria Leal, in the cadet category, along with Noelia Pérez, in junior, represented the island team under the guidance of their coach, Ana Ortega. The competition unfolded in two key national calendar events: the Comarca Brigantina race in Betanzos on Saturday, April 11, and the Gran Premio Cidade de Pontevedra on Sunday, April 12.
The first day in Betanzos featured a course of 30.7 kilometers for cadets and 46.8 kilometers for juniors, combining fast sections with more technical areas. The following day, the Gran Premio Cidade de Pontevedra presented a more challenging profile, with the ascent to Alto da Porteliña as a decisive point. Distances were 44.2 kilometers for cadets and 65.4 kilometers for juniors, in a day of greater physical exertion.

The Gran Canaria Bike Team continues to consolidate a unique project, being the first and only entirely Canarian team in the Spanish Cup, a milestone they already achieved last season and have now reconfirmed.

This team has established itself as a benchmark in women's road cycling in Gran Canaria, thanks to a structure that emulates professional teams. They have support vehicles, advanced technical equipment, rollers, recovery systems, physiotherapy, and a highly committed sports management. Their work is crucial for the development of their riders, who gain experience in the demanding national circuit and pave the way for future generations of Canarian cyclists.
