The measure aims for the «complete satisfaction of the debt, surcharges, interest, and costs» that the entity owes to the island's coffers. The total sum amounts to 177,802.23 euros for the reimbursement of the principal amount of the grant and 30,606.98 euros for late interest.
The autonomous body Valora Gestión Tributaria confirmed this action to the Popular Group of the Cabildo, in response to an information request regarding the status of the reimbursement files. According to the provided information, as of April 21, no reimbursement, either partial or total, of the claimed amounts had been made.
The grant in question was awarded in 2020 by the Cabildo's Presidency Department for works at the Camilo José Cela school, specifically for the project 'Building a Future. Social Center in El Fondillo'. At the time of the grant, the religious entity was chaired by an individual who also led other agricultural and non-governmental organizations, in addition to being the pastor of the religious center.
The settlements for the unpaid charges were issued on November 16, 2025, and notified on November 28 of the previous year. The procedure for the full reimbursement of the unjustified grant began in October 2024. After the voluntary payment period for the 205,588.83 euros claimed ended, the enforcement order was notified on January 23 of this year.
The entity filed an appeal for reconsideration, alleging lack of notification, which was dismissed and made available on March 11, although they did not access its content until March 17. On March 12, the entity requested the suspension of the executive procedure and the deferral of the debt, arguing that their appeal had not been resolved. However, Valora clarified that the appeal «was resolved, but they did not access the content of its notification until days later».
On March 20, the request for suspension of the executive procedure was dismissed, notified on March 30, although the entity did not access its content until April 9. Between these dates, on March 31, the entity requested an extension of the deadline to rectify and provide guarantees, stating that they possess an unencumbered property. Finally, on April 15, as the request for installment payment was not rectified in due time and form, its filing was decreed, and the applicant was declared to have withdrawn their right, with the notification signed on April 16 and available from April 21.
