The island of Gran Canaria served as the venue for the Miss World Spain 2026 gala, where a young woman from the Balearic Islands was selected to represent the country in the international competition to be held in Vietnam.

Sala Garbo’s, located in the south of Gran Canaria, hosted the selection of Spain's new representative for Miss World 2026. The winner, a 22-year-old, holds a degree in Accommodation Management and is currently studying Hotel Management at the University of the Balearic Islands.
This event has once again positioned Gran Canaria as a key location for national beauty pageants. During the gala, other prominent candidates were also recognized: a representative from the Valencian Community as first runner-up and a candidate from Tenerife as second runner-up. The Top 5 was completed by contestants from Barcelona and the Canary Islands, with semifinalists from various Spanish provinces.

"Beauty with a purpose."

the pageant organization
The pageant organization, under the direction of the entity responsible for the Miss World brand in Spain, has emphasized its commitment to a format that moves away from traditional codes. For years, Miss World has not included a swimsuit parade, prioritizing the contestants' preparation, communication skills, and commitment to social causes.
The Spanish representative will now prepare for the international competition, which will take place in Vietnam between August 9 and September 5, 2026. This pageant, considered the oldest in its category, has seen notable Spanish women in its history, including the only winner of the crown, a Catalan who obtained the title in the past.
