Gran Canaria Hosts XXI Edition of Desafío La Titánica
The demanding cycling event, backed by the UCI, will bring together over 170 athletes on the island on April 11 and 12, 2026.

The XXI edition of Monte Feliz – powered by Playitas Desafío La Titánica, one of the most demanding cycling events on the regional calendar, was officially presented in Gran Canaria.
The event, which has the support of the UCI seal, will gather more than 170 cyclists over two days of competition, on April 11 and 12, 2026. The presentation was attended by prominent figures, including Carlos Álamo, Tourism Counselor of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Michael Lund, CEO of Servatur, and Daniel González, manager of DG Eventos.

For his part, Michael Lund, from Servatur, highlighted the importance of their participation as a sponsor, emphasizing the opportunity to present the new concept of Monte Feliz – powered by Playitas, the island's first sports hotel. The race is organized by DG Eventos and the City Councils of Agüimes and San Mateo.

The Desafío La Titánica has the main sponsorship of Monte Feliz – powered by Playitas, in addition to the institutional support of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria through its Tourism and Sports departments. Other entities and brands also collaborate, such as the Canarian Cycling Federation, Free Motion, Rafael Afonso Yamaha, Alsa, Grupo Ari, Powerade, Panadería Pulido, Frutanisa, and Tirma. Among the institutional attendees were Carmen Rosa Guedes, Councilor for Seniors and Health of Agüimes, and Miguel Reyes, Sports Councilor of San Mateo.
