The twelfth edition of Colección Bridal Gran Canaria Moda Cálida will be held from September 30th to October 2nd at the Hotel Santa Catalina, introducing a new 'Bridal Atelier' space to bring bridal creation closer to the public.

Minerva Alonso, Minister of Economic Development of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, presented the twelfth edition of Colección Bridal, scheduled from September 30th to October 2nd at the Hotel Santa Catalina. This event has established itself as a key annual gathering for bridal and formal wear fashion on the island, serving as a platform for local designers.
The runway will feature twelve brands and creative projects, presented across nine fashion shows. A significant new addition is the Bridal Atelier space, designed to offer a more intimate and accessible experience, allowing the public to engage with the artisanal process and the unique universe of each brand.
Under the concept «Returning to the origin, to the silence of the atelier», this year's edition aims to evoke the place where creativity begins. The setting at the Hotel Santa Catalina will be transformed to represent an atelier, incorporating mannequins, fabrics, and worktables to highlight the craftsmanship behind the bridal designs.
Minerva Alonso emphasized the event's economic significance, noting that fashion generates activity and employment, mobilizing 42 direct suppliers this year and strengthening the sector in Gran Canaria.
The runway layout will be U-shaped to enhance the viewing of the garments from various perspectives, reducing the distance between the audience and the designs. Each show will accommodate 200 attendees, with enhanced lighting and sound.
To maximize event diffusion, journalist Roberto Herrera and comedian Omayra Cazorla will walk the runway this edition, both recognized for their commitment to fashion and promoting island talent.
The Bridal Atelier will host exhibitions and facilitate commercial interactions. Brands such as Ogadenia Couture and Palmas will occupy private hotel rooms transformed into pop-up ateliers, while accessory designers Atelier María Secretos and Impyris will showcase their creations in the post-show cocktail area.
The Segunda Vida Bridal project will continue, with stage fabrics being donated to the Escuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño de Gran Canaria and the IES La Minilla. Students will transform these materials into new designs, presented during the runway opening, promoting creative reuse.
The opening of Colección Bridal 2026 will feature LÓperArs, an artistic company directed by Mario Méndez, presenting 'El Último Ajuste'. This original creation is inspired by the musical universe of 'West Side Story' and aims to blend fashion, love, and performing arts on the runway.
The fashion show schedule begins on Wednesday, September 30th, with LÓperArs, the Escuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño de Gran Canaria, and the IES La Minilla. They will be followed by Rodrigo Piñeiro, Ruth Rguez, and Devota & Lomba. On Thursday, October 1st, Diazar Atelier, Oswaldo Machín, Gianluca Urraso, and Aurelia Gil will present their collections. Friday, October 2nd, will feature Studio Hidalgo, Palmas, and Ogadenia Couture closing the event.
Digital promotion will involve influencers and content creators such as Adolfo Rodríguez, Selene Cabeza, Ana Bravo de Laguna, La Gaveta, José León, Paola Barro, Marta Ibrahim, and Yaiza Mencía, active in fashion, communication, and lifestyle.
The event will be supported by 42 direct suppliers, including production companies, model agencies, and sponsors like Codorníu and Oribe, with additional collaboration from Jennifer García Makeup and Solán de Cabras.
