Gran Canaria has been designated as the venue for the twelfth edition of the International Agro-Enotourism Meeting of the Canary Islands, an event that highlights the island's growing importance in the regional and national enotourism sector.

The decision for Gran Canaria to host this significant meeting was announced during this year's edition, held in El Hierro. This initiative is supported by the Chair of Agrotourism and Enotourism of the University of La Laguna, with whom the Gran Canaria Wine Route maintains a collaboration agreement.

"Hosting this important international meeting corroborates the island's significance in this field, in addition to being a new boost for the Wine Route project."
