The Alisios Shopping Center in Gran Canaria is set to host the 'Borahae' Festival this Saturday, April 18, an event that will immerse attendees in K-pop culture with a live broadcast of a BTS concert and various themed activities.

The K-pop musical phenomenon arrives in Gran Canaria with the 'Borahae' Festival, an unmissable event for fans and those curious about Korean culture. The festival will take place on Saturday, April 18, starting at 10:30 AM, and its main attraction will be the live broadcast of the international BTS concert, the popular K-pop group, from Tokyo. This exclusive screening will be held in the Yelmo Premium Alisios cinemas.
The festival experience extends beyond the cinema screening. Throughout the day, the public will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops inspired by South Korea. Scheduled activities include traditional kite making, fan decorating, personalized card design, and the customization of lightsticks, an iconic element of the K-pop universe.
The festive atmosphere will be driven by the Army Canarias community, which has encouraged attendees to wear purple, symbolizing the connection among BTS fans. The celebration will continue in the afternoon at Plaza Alisios with musical performances, highlighting the show by the group Huntrix and a special tribute to the genre's greatest icons.

The term 'Borahae,' coined by BTS member V, combines the Korean words 'bora' (purple) and 'saranghae' (I love you), becoming popularized as 'I purple you.' This color represents loyalty and lasting love, serving as a symbol of identity for the group's followers.

The festival will conclude with a Korean dance masterclass, open to all audiences. This activity is designed for both K-pop enthusiasts and those who wish to explore the reasons behind the global impact of this cultural phenomenon.
