The island of Gran Canaria has welcomed the month of May with a splendid green landscape, a result of abundant rainfall in recent months, and a notable rise in temperatures that has created a spring-like atmosphere.

Good weather has marked the beginning of the May long weekend in Gran Canaria, where the lush vegetation, nourished by recent precipitation, shines under bright sunshine. This idyllic setting has been accompanied by an increase in temperatures, offering a pleasant day without the excessive heat typical of summer.
Throughout Friday, temperatures experienced a slight rise across much of the archipelago, exceeding 20 ºC by midday. In Gran Canaria, this increase was even more pronounced, with readings surpassing 25 ºC. Specifically, in Tasarte, within the municipality of La Aldea de San Nicolás, a high of 26 ºC was recorded, making it the highest temperature in the Canary Islands on this date.
Other parts of the island also enjoyed warm and pleasant weather. In the capital's neighborhood of San Cristóbal and in El Matorral, located in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, thermometers exceeded 23 ºC, consolidating a favorable start to May with excellent meteorological conditions for residents and visitors.
