The fifth edition of the Granca Live Fest begins this Thursday, July 2nd, at the Estadio de Gran Canaria. The music festival, celebrating its fifth anniversary, will run until Sunday, July 5th, an extra day compared to previous years, and will feature around 29 international, national, and local artists. Since its inception, the event has attracted approximately 225,000 attendees.
This year's edition is special with the presence of renowned artists such as the group Maroon 5, Juan Luis Guerra, Dani Fernández, Alejandro Sanz, Aitana, and Dani Martín, among others. The festival will also showcase musical talent from the islands, including Gran Canarian artists like La Pantera, Ptazeta, Playacoco, and Toni Bob.
On the first day, Thursday, July 2nd, doors open at 5:00 PM. Toni Bob will kick off the festival, followed by Admire and Paulina del Carmen. At 6:00 PM, Playa Coco will perform, followed by Ptazeta at 7:15 PM. The night's headliner, Dani Fernández, will take the stage at 8:45 PM, with Ms. Lauryn Hill (10:30 PM) and Viva Suecia (12:15 AM) concluding the first day.
On Friday, July 3rd, doors will open at 5:00 PM. The rhythms at the Siete Palmas venue will be provided by DJ Conjurer from Tenerife, Wendy, Fátima Falcón, and Melania. At 6:00 PM, Gran Canarian artist La Pantera will perform, followed by Carlos Rivera (7:30 PM) and Danny Ocean (9:00 PM). The audience will have to wait until 10:30 PM to see international artist Juan Luis Guerra. Lola Índigo will close the second day at 12:15 AM.
On Saturday, July 4th, the stadium doors will open at 5:00 PM. Quique Serra, Pablo Batista, and Dani Calero will handle the intermediate sets. The first concert will be by the Canarian group Agua del Chorro at 6:00 PM, followed by Grupo Frontera at 7:00 PM. The night's most acclaimed singers, Dani Martín (8:45 PM), Alejandro Sanz (10:45 PM), and Aitana, will close the penultimate day at 12:15 AM.
The festival concludes on Sunday, July 5th, with doors opening at 6:00 PM. Toni Bob will once again be in charge of the musical interludes. The first concert will be by the pop-rock group Monkey Faces at 6:30 PM, followed by Postcode at 7:45 PM. At 9:00 PM, the audience will experience the stellar performance of Maroon 5, which promises to close a festival aiming to make a significant impact and position itself as one of the best in Spain.
