Communicator Inés Hernand arrived in Gran Canaria this Monday to participate in Gáldar Pride 2026, but her trip was marred by the loss of her luggage.

Presenter and DJ Inés Hernand landed in Gran Canaria last Monday, arriving from Amsterdam to take part in Gáldar Pride 2026. However, before taking the stage, she encountered an unexpected issue: her suitcase went missing.
Hernand herself shared the anecdote on her social media, posting a picture from the Centro Comercial Atlántico in Vecindario. She ended up buying essential clothing and items there after being left without her luggage. "They lost my suitcase coming from Amsterdam to Gran Canaria, so I had to buy some thongs in a classic place. Long live Vecindario!!!!!", she wrote in a story, maintaining her characteristic lighthearted tone.
This setback turned her arrival on the island into a common and relatable situation for many travelers. Without clothes or essential items and with several commitments ahead, Hernand opted for a quick solution: an emergency visit to a shopping center.
The image, taken in front of the Centro Comercial Atlántico, added a local touch to her arrival. Vecindario, known as a significant commercial hub in the southeast of Gran Canaria, thus became Hernand's first viral stop before her involvement in the Gáldar Pride.
The anecdote comes just before one of the main nights of the pride program. Inés Hernand will be one of the headliners at the Gala Queen Of Queens of Gáldar Pride 2026, scheduled for this Friday, June 19th, at 9:00 PM in the Recinto Cultural La Quinta. The gala will be hosted by Hernand herself alongside Samantha Ballentines and will feature performances by Ptazeta, DJ Pepino Marino, Grimassira Maeva, and La Caudilla.
Gáldar Pride 2026, celebrating its fifth edition from June 18th to 21st, is presented as a cultural and advocacy program focused on equality, respect, and LGTBIQ+ rights. Hernand's participation will extend to Saturday, June 20th, where she will be part of the Gran Mogollón.
