The pair formed by Czech Anna Siskova and Kazakhstan player Zibhek Kulambayeva has been crowned champions of the doubles category at the ITF W100 DISA Gran Canaria Maspalomas 2026. They defeated the also Czech Dominika Salkova and Sweden's Lisa Zaar in the final.
Kulambayeva and Siskova, who have competed together since 2021, dominated the first set with a clear 6-3. The second set was more contested and was resolved in a tie-break in favor of the Czech-Kazakh pair, thus sealing their victory in the tournament.
In the singles category, Brazil's Laura Pigossi and Turkey's Berfu Cengiz will contest the grand final this Sunday at 18:00. Both players are reaching their first ITF W100 final after overcoming intense semi-finals.
Pigossi, world number 239 and an Olympic medalist, defeated Czech Dominika Salkova (number 121) by 7-5 and 6-1. Meanwhile, Cengiz, who came through qualifying, defeated Malta's Francesca Curmi 6-3, 3-6, and 6-4 in a very close match.
The trophy presentation ceremony was attended by promoter Dominic Conde and tournament director Oti Santana. The doubles champions thanked the organization for an "impressive" tournament.
The ITF World Tennis Tour W100 DISA Gran Canaria-Maspalomas 2026 is organized by Club Deportivo Conde Jackson and is sponsored by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, the Government of the Canary Islands, and the City Council of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, in addition to the main sponsorship from Grupo DISA.
