The event, organized by the Canarian Volleyball Federation along with the Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation, is notable for its annual growth and its importance in consolidating Gran Canaria as a venue for major sporting competitions. Institutions such as the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and the Government of the Canary Islands, along with the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, have agreed in highlighting the island's potential to host top-tier events, generating economic activity and promoting its image as a tourist and sports destination.
The competition holds the highest three-star category within the national circuit, ensuring the presence of high-level specialists. Around 100 athletes will participate, distributed into 16 male and 16 female pairs, who will compete for a total of 10,000 euros in prizes. Among the confirmed participants are pairs such as Nazaret Florián and Carolina Fernández, and Pablo Pérez and Nathan Matos, winners of previous editions.
The sporting activity will commence on Thursday, July 9, with the qualifying rounds, followed by the main draw matches starting on Friday. The men's and women's finals will be held on Sunday, July 12. In parallel, the organization has prepared an entertainment program with games, raffles, and live music, aimed at the whole family. Entry will be free until full capacity is reached.
