Motorcyclist Seriously Injured After Accident in Santa Lucía de Tirajana

A 28-year-old man was airlifted to Gran Canaria Insular Hospital after suffering severe multiple injuries in a fall.

A 28-year-old man was seriously injured this Wednesday after falling from his motorcycle on the GC-65 road, near kilometer 20, in Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Gran Canaria.

The incident occurred around 4:15 PM, as the motorcyclist was traveling on the aforementioned road. The Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) reported that the young man presented severe multiple injuries at the time of assistance.
Due to the severity of his injuries, he was transported by a medicalized helicopter to the Gran Canaria Insular Hospital, where he has been admitted. Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) personnel stabilized the affected individual until the aircraft arrived.
Firefighters from the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium assisted by securing the helicopter's landing and takeoff zone. The Civil Guard and Local Police managed traffic and gathered reports to clarify the causes of the young man's fall.
