The 2026 summer season brings new air routes for Gran Canaria Airport, which is increasing its connectivity with various European countries and strengthening frequencies to the Iberian Peninsula. An increase of 6% in available seats is expected, reaching 3.16 million.
The island will have direct connections to 116 airports in 28 countries between April and September. The strong growth of the French market stands out, adding approximately 30,000 additional seats. The Minister of Tourism for the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Carlos Álamo, noted that this increase in connectivity contributes to market diversification and the destination's competitiveness.
In the domestic market, the route to Vitoria-Gasteiz is being reinstated, and Logroño is added, both operated by Binter. The connection to Vitoria will have an approximate duration of 2 hours and 50 minutes, while the one to Logroño will be 2 hours and 45 minutes.
France adds four new connections: Bordeaux (operated by Transavia), Lille (operated by Volotea, which will be a permanent route), Nantes (operated by easyJet), and Lyon (operated by easyJet). These routes offer access to important cultural and gastronomic centers.
Norway is included with two new routes from Norwegian to Bergen and Stavanger, allowing exploration of the fjords. Additionally, Denmark adds a connection to Billund, a destination known for Legoland and Lego House.
The United Kingdom is strengthening its connections with new routes to London-Gatwick (operated by Jet2), Liverpool (operated by Jet2 and easyJet), and Belfast (operated by Jet2 and easyJet). Germany completes the list with the route to Baden-Baden operated by Ryanair.
