The municipality of Santa Lucía de Tirajana continues to advance in the development of its General Urban Plan (PGO). To this end, it has launched a series of participatory initiatives within the framework of the advance phase, highlighting a program of itinerant exhibitions throughout the locality and the workshops called Santa Lucía Avanza.
The Santa Lucía Avanza workshops consist of a series of technical and participatory meetings designed to inform, debate, and collect contributions from citizens on the key challenges facing the municipality. These sessions will be held every Thursday in April and May, at 6:00 PM, at the Citizen Participation Space, located at Plaza San Rafael, number 15, in Vecindario. Each meeting will last approximately between one and a half and two hours.
Each workshop session will feature a dynamic structure including an initial presentation, a lecture by an expert (approximately 20 minutes), a round table with specialists debating pre-established issues, and an open question-and-answer session for the public. Seven fundamental themes will be addressed, resulting from two years of technical work and dialogue with the community: Commerce and Tourism (April 9), Agriculture and Livestock (April 16), Municipal Coastline (April 23), Technology and Innovation (April 30), Sustainable Mobility (May 7), Housing Issues (May 14), and Sustainability and Quality of Life (May 21).
Additionally, as part of the public information process for this advance phase of the PGO, itinerant exhibitions have been organized. These displays, composed of explanatory panels, detail the main proposals of the Plan. The drafting team will present these exhibitions at six points in the municipality, remaining at each location for approximately one week. They are expected to begin at the end of April in various neighborhood associations, thus allowing citizens to learn firsthand about the proposed initiatives. The City Council invites all citizens to actively participate in this crucial process for defining the municipality's model for the coming years.
