Sitapha Savané has announced his decision not to continue next season as president of CB Gran Canaria, citing an "atmosphere of confrontation" and the need for a change of course.

Sitapha Savané has announced his resignation as president of CB Gran Canaria, communicating his decision not to continue leading the club next season. The main reason cited by the now former president is that "some sectors have personalized a large part of the blame for what happened this season on me," in his own words.
Savané, who had already conveyed his stance to the sports counselor some time ago, considers the club's progress unviable under the current circumstances. "We cannot move forward leaving this atmosphere, leaving this situation of confrontation," he stated, emphasizing the importance of cohesion for the future of the sports entity.

It is essential to have this unity within our vision

In his farewell, the former president highlighted that the majority of the fans support the team to move forward, stressing the need for "this unity within our vision" for the club's future.
