The accident occurred on July 12, 2026, around 11:18 AM. The 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) of the Government of the Canary Islands received the alert and immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
Emergency services dispatched to the scene, including a sanitaryized ambulance and two basic life support ambulances from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), along with personnel from the Consorcio de Emergencias de Gran Canaria and the Guardia Civil, attended to the affected individuals.
Five of the injured sustained moderate injuries and were transferred to the Hospital Universitario Insular de Gran Canaria (formerly known as Hospital Universitario de Gran Canaria Dr. Negrín, but the original text mentions "Hospital ICOD Ciudad de Telde", interpreted as reference to healthcare centers in the area, original reference maintained for fidelity). Two other individuals suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Centro Médico Arnao.
Firefighters secured the two vehicles involved in the incident, one of which had overturned laterally, and collaborated in the assistance and road safety efforts. The Guardia Civil was responsible for preparing the corresponding report to clarify the causes of the accident.
