The Open Foncal 3.0 pádel tournament is currently taking place in Gran Canaria, bringing together the region's most outstanding talents in a competition that has achieved prestigious gold category status.

The preliminary phase of this tournament, which began on April 6, is continuing with the quarter-final round. The non-federated competition has seen remarkable participation and a great sporting atmosphere, establishing itself as one of the most significant pádel events in the Canary Islands.
Approximately two hundred non-federated athletes started their journey in the tournament on April 6, brilliantly reaching the quarter-finals in the men's, women's, and mixed categories (3rd and 4th). This highlights the Open Foncal's commitment to opening the event to all audiences, fostering participation and access to the sport with a high level of competition.

"We are positively surprised by the enormous desire to participate and have fun shown by the athletes, and that is something that those of us who have been in this world for a long time also enjoy. We want to position In Play as a top brand in the organization of Pádel Events where we mix the best of the Canary Islands with the totally amateur world for maximum enjoyment of pádel."

This current edition has experienced a significant qualitative and quantitative leap by achieving the gold category, the highest federative distinction in Gran Canaria. This accomplishment positions the Open Foncal 3.0 as a benchmark in Canarian pádel.
Organized by In Play Eventos and sponsored by Foncal, the tournament will feature nearly 400 federated participants across its various categories. The federated competition will be held at two venues: the Gran Canaria Tenis & Pádel Center, with eight state-of-the-art panoramic courts, and the facilities at La Galera in Tamaraceite.
With the participation of high-level players and the dispute of eleven categories (five men's, four women's, two mixed, and the special Foncal Client category), the tournament will culminate next Sunday, April 19. The final day is envisioned as a grand pádel celebration in the Canary Islands, featuring music, catering, collaborating brands, and activities for all players and attendees.
