ULPGC Formalizes Inauguration of New Titular Professors and Chairs

The Rector of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), Lluís Serra Majem, accompanied by the Secretary General Inmaculada González Cabrera, presided over the inauguration ceremony for titular professors and university chairs on Friday, July 24th, at the Paraninfo of the institutional headquarters.

A total of 30 titular professors and 33 university chairs, in addition to one Associated University Chair, formally assumed their new academic responsibilities. The appointments cover a wide range of departments, reflecting the institution's diverse fields of knowledge.
Among the titular professors who took office are faculty members from departments such as Modern Philology, Translation and Interpretation, Psychology, Sociology and Social Work, Education, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Geography, Applied Economic Analysis, Civil Engineering, Process Engineering, Historical Sciences, Economics and Business Management, and Basic Legal Sciences.
Furthermore, university chairs from departments including Financial Economics and Accounting, Electronic Engineering and Automation, Historical Sciences, Modern Philology, Translation and Interpretation, Quantitative Methods in Economics and Management, Public Law, Physics, Basic Legal Sciences, Economics and Business Management, Applied Economic Analysis, Chemistry, and Biology took their oaths.
The ceremony, held at the Paraninfo, underscores the ULPGC's commitment to academic excellence and the consolidation of its teaching staff.
