This book, following a previous volume on the campus's history, focuses on the future and compiles expert opinions to promote a consensual project for the improvement and optimization of the Tafira university space.
ULPGC envisions the Tafira Campus not only as an academic center but as a landscape, social, and environmental benchmark. It aims to integrate biodiversity, respond to climate change, serve as a refuge from its extreme manifestations, and achieve the goal of zero greenhouse gas emissions.
The collection stems from the UniVerde project, to which ULPGC is committed. This initiative focuses on collaboratively identifying and creating new green spaces and healthy leisure areas within the campuses, fostering a culture of well-being, sustainability, and citizen participation.
