Navarrese player Uxue Morentin has joined Rocasa Gran Canaria, reinforcing the right wing position for the 2026-2027 season.

The young athlete, who developed entirely at Club Anaitasuna in Pamplona, arrives at the Telde team after a notable career in national categories. Morentin has been a key player in her former club's promotions to División de Honor Plata and later to División de Honor Oro, also achieving third-place finishes in both categories in recent seasons.
Her progression has also led her to wear the jersey of the Navarre Regional Team, with whom she won a bronze medal in the Spanish Championship of Autonomous Teams (CESA) in the youth category. Furthermore, she has participated in international competitions with the Spanish youth development team, including the B European Championship in Lithuania and the Youth World Championship in North Macedonia.

"I face this new stage with enthusiasm and consider my arrival at the current League champion an important step in my sporting career. The prestige of the Gran Canaria club and the opportunity to join a leading entity in Spanish handball are key motivations."
