A 56-year-old hiker was rescued this Tuesday by the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) after suffering a fall near Roque Nublo, in the municipality of Tejeda, Gran Canaria.

The Canary Islands Government's 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) received the alert about the incident at 11:34 AM this Tuesday. After classifying the call, the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) and the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) were activated.
Rescuers from the GES helicopter reached the affected person, provided initial assistance, and after hoisting her into the aircraft, proceeded with her evacuation to the helipad of the Hospital Universitario de Gran Canaria Doctor Negrín.
Meanwhile, the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) assigned a basic life support ambulance. Healthcare personnel assessed and assisted the woman, who presented a moderate lower limb trauma, and she was transferred to the emergency department of the aforementioned hospital.
