A 55-year-old man has been admitted in critical condition following a hit-and-run incident in the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna last night. The event required the intervention of multiple emergency services.
According to information from the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Safety Coordination Center (CECOES) 112, the alert was received at 10:24 PM, reporting that a person had been run over by a car on the TF-13 road and urgently needed medical assistance.
Paramedics from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), who arrived at the scene with a specialized medical ambulance and a basic life support unit, attended to the victim. He presented with severe multiple injuries and was stabilized at the scene before transport.
Due to the severity of his injuries, the injured man was urgently transported by the medical ambulance to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands (HUC), where he remains admitted in critical condition.
Officers from the Local Police also participated in the operation, managing traffic in the affected area of the TF-13 and initiating the necessary proceedings to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
