The children participating in the Ludoverano 2026 program enjoyed a special visit to the municipality's helipad, located in the El Remate area. The rescue helicopter of the Grupo de Emergencias y Salvamento (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands operates from these facilities.
During the visit, the children were able to learn firsthand about the operation of this important emergency service. They had the opportunity to get close to the work carried out by GES professionals and discover the various resources and equipment the helicopter has for its rescue and salvage missions.
This educational and different experience allowed Ludoverano participants to engage with the world of emergencies, understand the importance of prevention, and appreciate the daily work of rescue teams in ensuring public safety.
The La Guancha City Council has thanked the Grupo de Emergencias y Salvamento (GES) for their willingness and collaboration in making this visit possible and bringing their work closer to children.
