The municipal services of the Fisco Chico Children's School and the Occupational Center for people with intellectual disabilities have resumed their activities after the summer break, starting a new course with the aim of continuing to offer quality care to families and users.
Both resources, managed by the La Guancha City Council, are essential due to their significant educational, social, and care work. During the holiday period, maintenance and improvement works were carried out on their facilities using municipal funds.
The departments of Works and Social Services have worked in coordination to address the needs of both services, implementing actions to improve the conditions of the spaces and their functionality.
At the Fisco Chico Children's School, general cleaning of the facade and interior walls, repair of deteriorated surfaces including scraping and removal of peeling or damaged paint, repair of minor cracks, and complete painting of the interior courtyard have been completed.
At the Occupational Center, work was done on a small interior patio next to the crafts workshop, where an aluminum structure with a polycarbonate roof was installed. Additionally, the rainwater drainage system, which had some deficiencies, was improved, and the countertop of the sink in the same area was replaced.
These interventions reflect the City Council's commitment to the improvement and conservation of public spaces dedicated to citizen care, education, and well-being. The coordinated work between the Works and Social Services departments allows for addressing identified needs and conditioning the facilities that daily serve children, families, and users of the Occupational Center.
