The Cabildo de La Gomera and the island delegation of the Chamber of Commerce of Santa Cruz de Tenerife have launched a commercial revitalization campaign for Mother's Day, supporting actions organized by local councils to boost local consumption.

This joint initiative aims to amplify the reach and impact of commercial activities on the island, attracting both residents and visitors to open commercial areas. The main goal is to create a close and participatory environment, encouraging consumption in small businesses, which are considered fundamental pillars of the island's economy.
As part of the campaign, on May 1st and 2nd, floral gifts will be distributed to mothers in the main shopping streets. This gesture of recognition, in collaboration with local florists, seeks to encourage purchases and thank the loyalty of those who choose local commerce.

"Both the Cabildo and the Chamber of Commerce agree on the importance of buying from local establishments, as it directly contributes to maintaining employment and the island's economy."

The campaign also highlights citizen participation, inviting residents to discover the variety of products and services available, and to opt for responsible consumption that benefits the entire Gomera community and its sustainable development.
In San Sebastián de La Gomera, customers making purchases over €20 in local shops can exchange their tickets for a Tasting Voucher for the Tapa Fair, to be held on May 2nd in the Plaza de Las Américas. Meanwhile, the Valle Gran Rey Town Council, with the campaign ‘Para ti, Súper Mamá’ (For you, Super Mom), will raffle 20 vouchers of 50 euros each among those who spend more than 20 euros between April 21st and May 3rd. Finally, the Hermigua Town Council will organize a special workshop on Monday, May 4th at 5:00 PM in the Edificio de Usos Múltiples, offering a space for meeting and learning for the municipality's residents.
