The first meeting of this initiative will take place on September 23rd at El Curato Park, located in the municipality of Hermigua. The program, which will be held periodically, aims to facilitate contact between LGBTIQ+ individuals in a close and accessible environment.
The project arises as a response to the socialization difficulties that can occur in island territories and small populations, where factors such as geographical dispersion or the lack of anonymity can limit the creation of support networks. The activities, which will be held approximately every three weeks, will include group dynamics, snacks, and walks guided by a facilitator.
Participation in these meetings is free and open to people over 16 years of age without prior registration. The initiative is supported by Cajasiete and the collaboration of local councils, forming part of the Red Gomerarcoíris strategy to promote equality and diversity across the island.
