The main objective is to define priority actions that promote real and effective equality between men and women in all areas of the island's economic, social, educational, labor, cultural, and community life.
To ensure the Plan reflects the needs and experiences of the Gomera population, an anonymous and voluntary questionnaire has been made available. Completing it, which takes approximately ten to twelve minutes, will allow for the collection of citizen perceptions on gender equality in La Gomera and gather proposals for future island policies.
The survey addresses key topics such as employment, working conditions, work-life balance, education, health, safety, gender-based violence, social and political participation, and access to public services. Special attention is given to vulnerable groups such as women in rural areas, elderly women living alone, and migrant women.
The process also includes interviews with representatives of associations and entities on the island. These contributions are crucial for completing the preliminary diagnosis and incorporating the experience of the island's social, cultural, sports, and community fabric into the final document.
Citizen and entity collaboration will enable the establishment of objectives and measures tailored to the territorial, social, and demographic reality of La Gomera, combining specific affirmative action initiatives with the transversal integration of gender perspective in public policies.
Citizens can access the questionnaire via a QR code disseminated by the Cabildo of La Gomera or through the online form provided.
