The Council of La Gomera has reinforced its emergency operations for the San Juan night, celebrated this Tuesday, June 23rd, by increasing surveillance and assistance in several island locations.

The insular institution, through its Environmental Unit, is intensifying surveillance and assistance efforts across different sites on the island. Two reinforcement teams are being added, one near Vallehermoso and another in the island's highlands, aiming to improve response times to any potential incidents.
The operation includes the deployment of technical resources in strategic points, such as the Epina area, to cover locations like the town center of Vallehermoso and the locality of Alojera. Additionally, operational support will be provided from San Sebastián, along with reserve personnel, to bolster intervention capabilities during the night.
This deployment complements the extraordinary measures established by the local municipalities, which are distributing brigades and deterrent personnel across the island. All actions will be coordinated from the CECOPIN, which will have the necessary technical and human resources available.

"In case of detecting a forest fire or suspicious smoke, please remember that the emergency numbers 112 and CECOPIN of La Gomera, at 922 14 15 01, are available."
