The Directorate General of Economic Resources of the Canarian Health Service (SCS) has put out to tender the works for the conditioning of a two-story building adjacent to the University Hospital of La Palma, which will be used for hospital external consultations.

The project has a budget of 2,677,931.75 euros, including IGIC, and an execution period of twelve months. The property, located in the municipality of Breña Alta, is in a poor state of conservation and will require works to adapt it for its intended use.
The building, with access from the south facade via the Carretera de La Cumbre and a second access on the lower level, will be spread over two floors. The upper floor will house a lobby with a reception area and an adapted restroom, as well as a vertical communication core.
The work will enable the adaptation of a total of thirteen consultation rooms, allowing for approximately 38,000 annual consultations.
This intervention is part of a package of health investments amounting to approximately 5.7 million euros for the island of La Palma, which will be carried out in parallel with other actions at the hospital itself. These include the comprehensive reform of the fire protection system (1.7 million euros) and the completion of the new angiography room (1.3 million euros).
