The incident occurred outside the island's airport terminal when Civil Guard agents, performing public safety prevention duties, observed an individual walking alone on the public road. Upon noticing the police presence, the man displayed an evasive and nervous demeanor, which raised the officers' suspicions.

Given this behavior, the officers decided to stop him for identification. During the conversation, the suspect's tension increased, leading the agents to conduct a superficial search of his belongings. The search revealed 495 grams of hashish and 3,380 euros in cash, divided into various denominations of banknotes.

As a result of these findings, the individual was arrested for an alleged drug trafficking offense. Subsequently, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority for the corresponding legal proceedings.
