The Cabildo de La Palma has coordinated an information meeting with the families of the 40 students selected to participate in a language immersion program in Ireland during the 2026/2027 academic year.

The initiative, developed in collaboration with Newlink Education, aims to enhance the English language skills of students from La Palma, while offering them an international educational experience that fosters autonomy and personal growth.
During the meeting, the island's Education department detailed the logistical and academic aspects of the stay. Key issues were addressed, such as the functioning of the Irish school system, living with host families, and the ongoing support the students will receive throughout their training abroad.
This project is part of the Cabildo's strategy to expand educational opportunities for local youth, facilitating access to diverse cultural environments that strengthen their academic preparation and future professional prospects.
