The incident occurred approximately at 4:17 PM at kilometer 24 of the aforementioned road, one of the island's main arteries.
According to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands, emergency services attended to four adults (three women and one man) who presented moderate chest pain and cervicalgia. A minor was also transferred to a hospital for evaluation.
All affected individuals were evacuated by Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) ambulances to the General Hospital of La Palma.
Following the alert, a large emergency deployment was activated. La Palma Firefighters were responsible for securing the involved vehicles and collaborating with other resources. SUC personnel, with one medicalized ambulance and two basic life support ambulances, assessed and transported the injured.
Civil Guard agents regulated traffic in the area and prepared the corresponding report, while the Road Conservation Service of the Cabildo de La Palma proceeded to clean the roadway to restore road safety.
