The promise to improve mobility and alleviate parking issues at La Palma University Hospital, made by the Canary Islands Government a year ago, has yet to materialize. This situation has been highlighted by a socialist deputy, who emphasizes the absence of visible progress and concrete timelines for the project's development.
“"Despite the commitments made by the responsible authorities to the citizens of La Palma, no visible progress has been made, nor have concrete deadlines for its development been communicated."
The shortage of parking spaces continues to affect those visiting the hospital, leading to delays, congestion, and additional difficulties in accessing the facilities. The current situation is perceived as stagnant, with promises failing to resolve daily problems.
“"After more than a year since the announcement, we are exactly the same or worse. Promises do not solve real problems."
The opposition has urged the Canary Islands Government to take concrete actions to make this project a reality. It is considered essential for improving the quality of life for residents of La Palma, especially in the healthcare sector, where infrastructure development has been sidelined in the current legislative term.
