The Cabildo de La Palma and the Ayuntamiento de Villa de Mazo are organizing the II Employment, Training, and Entrepreneurship Fair, scheduled for April 16 and 17, with the participation of over 27 companies and educational centers.

The fair, which will take place at the Centro Cultural Andares and the Pabellón Deportivo David Jiménez Silva, primarily aims to facilitate direct contact between companies and individuals interested in their job openings. Attendees can register in advance through the website to submit their resumes at the participating companies' stands.

"With this fair, we aim for the people of La Palma seeking employment to find their opportunity, and for students from attending educational centers to gradually learn how the labor world they will face in the future operates."

Among the novelties of this edition is the availability of over 60 job offers from various entities on the event's website, www.lapalmaempleo.com, for which 39 registrations have already been received. Additionally, an entrepreneurship zone has been set up where entities such as the Cabildo de La Palma's Prodae Program, the Chamber of Commerce, Fedepalma, or Ader La Palma will offer advice on aid and funding.
Concurrently, a professional exhibition will showcase the twenty professional families available in La Palma's training offerings, including Vocational Training, artistic, and sports education. Ten educational centers on the island will participate in this initiative, coordinated by La Red de Información y Orientación Profesional, providing a valuable opportunity for those seeking training or wishing to start a business.
The fair also seeks to highlight groups with particular difficulties in finding employment, such as people with disabilities or those in situations of social exclusion. The event is supported by the Canarian Employment Service, the General Directorate of Vocational Training and Special Regime Education of the Government of the Canary Islands, and the public company Sodepal, through the project 'La Palma es comercio'.
