Isla Bonita Moda has announced the incorporation of Pepa Bueno, executive director of the Spanish Fashion Creators Association (ACME), to its Guarantees Committee, a strategic decision aimed at enhancing the visibility and growth of La Palma's brands at a national level.
Pepa Bueno's arrival on the committee represents a significant step forward for Isla Bonita Moda, integrating the perspective and knowledge of one of the most influential figures in the Spanish fashion landscape. Her leadership at ACME, a key entity in promoting designer fashion, will strengthen the project's strategic structure and its connection with the sector nationwide, opening new avenues for networking, visibility, and development for affiliated brands.
With a solid career in the editorial and cultural fields, Pepa Bueno is an art historian specializing in design history. She has worked for publications such as Woman, Elle, Vogue Novias, and Yo Dona, where she served as deputy director. Since joining ACME in 2013, she has been instrumental in the association's expansion and in implementing initiatives to position Spanish fashion design both within and outside Spain.
Since 2015, Bueno has directed Madrid es Moda and has curated notable exhibitions such as Made in Spain in Paris and Las costuras femeninas de la moda de España, in collaboration with the National Museum of Decorative Arts and the EFE Agency. Additionally, she is a member of the MBFWMadrid Fashion Committee, has lectured at various institutions, and is vice-president of the Spanish Fashion Academy Foundation, as well as the author of the book Disueño. Cuando el arte y el diseño jugaron a ser lo mismo.

"Being part of the Isla Bonita Moda Guarantees Committee allows us to closely support a project that, from an insular context, has managed to build its own model of support for the sector. From ACME, this collaboration is part of a sustained relationship with initiatives that contribute to structuring designer fashion in Spain."
The Guarantees Committee, which will continue to benefit from the experience of its current members, is responsible for granting the use of the brand to applicant firms, overseeing compliance with its regulations, participating as a jury in the Isla Bonita Moda Awards for 'Made in La Palma' Talent, and proposing actions for the brand's improvement and strengthening. This update reinforces a participatory and transparent model that drives the development of affiliated firms and the projection of Isla Bonita Moda.
