Traffic Restrictions in Santa Cruz de La Palma for the Isla Bonita Rally

The City Council announces street closures and parking prohibitions between September 17-19 due to the car competition.

The Santa Cruz de La Palma City Council has detailed the traffic and parking restrictions that will be implemented for the 51st edition of the Rally La Palma Isla Bonita, scheduled from September 17 to 19.

The motorsport event will feature a timed stage affecting several streets in the capital. The route will extend from the LP-1, near the Mirca Roundabout, to Leocricia Pestana street in El Roque.
The initial restrictions will begin on Thursday, September 17. From 3:00 PM, parking at the Port Area will be closed until 12:00 AM on Saturday, September 19. Also on Thursday, starting at 9:00 PM, the Avenida Marítima will be closed to traffic between La Constitución square and the intersection with Avenida El Puente, where the rally's closed park will be set up.
On Saturday, September 19, further disruptions will occur. Between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM, traffic will be cut off on Avenida El Puente, Avenida Las Nieves, and other key points along the course.
Parking will also be prohibited on various sections of the LP-1, Carias street, Cuesta de la Encarnación, LP-101, El Roque, and Leocricia Pestana street.
The main route will be closed to traffic from 4:45 PM to 8:00 PM, with the possibility of extension until all participating vehicles have passed. Access to the Health Center will be maintained through established routes detailed in the municipal decree.
The City Council requests the cooperation of residents and asks for respect for the installed signage and the instructions of traffic control personnel. The rally is not only a sporting event but is also expected to boost the local economy by attracting numerous fans.
