Despite the elapsed time and the continuous efforts of security teams, the whereabouts of the young man, a resident of El Paso, remain unknown. Over the past 60 days, emergency operations have received numerous reports of possible sightings or leads, but all have been dismissed after relevant checks, as reported by TV Canaria.
Currently, the search is concentrated on the coastal area. It is expected that as soon as sea conditions improve, divers will resume in-depth underwater inspections in the Los Cancajos area, in the municipality of Breña Baja.
The Los Cancajos area has been critical to the investigation since Airam's mobile phone signal was lost near Risco Alto. His backpack was previously found there, and later, a pair of jeans in the sea that matched the clothing he was wearing on the day of his disappearance. However, to date, no biological evidence has been found to confirm a specific outcome.
“"His enormous capacity for resistance."
Experts and Airam's family, who has autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and high capabilities, are considering the hypothesis of a “sensory collapse.” This theory suggests that the noise and crowd of the festival, combined with the reactivation of a traumatic episode experienced months earlier in Poland, might have led the young man to seek refuge in rugged areas of the island. His family has asked the public not to call him by name or approach him abruptly if sighted, to avoid startling him and causing him to flee again.
The ground search has extended to locations such as Cueva de Carías, Refugio de El Pilar, and the La Encarnación area, where messages written on the ground with handwriting compatible with the young man's were found. The family and authorities continue to request public cooperation. Any relevant information can be reported via Cecopin (922 43 76 50) or the emergency number 112.
