The VI Contemporary Festival brings the concert 'From Chaos to Cosmos' to the islands, featuring the renowned pianist and mathematician Laura Farré Rozada. The artist will present her performance on Sunday, October 4th, at the Antigua Auditorium (Fuerteventura), on Monday, October 5th, at the Convent of Santo Domingo in Teguise (Lanzarote), and on Tuesday, October 6th, at the El Secadero Cultural Space, in Los Llanos de Aridane (La Palma). All concerts will begin at 8:00 PM.
The program, titled 'From Chaos to Cosmos,' offers a sonic journey exploring the evolution from silence to music and the cosmos, through a repertoire ranging from works by Debussy to contemporary compositions. Special attention is given to Armenian music, reflected in her award-winning latest album, 'Anaspel'.
In Lanzarote, in addition to her performance, an educational talk titled '#endiálogo: Music and Mathematics' will be held. Laura Farré herself will give a presentation aimed at concert attendees, which will take place at 6:30 PM at the Convent of Santo Domingo in Teguise.
Laura Farré Rozada is a prominent figure in the fields of music and mathematics, with an extensive international career that includes performances in venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Southbank Centre. She has premiered over 110 works, and her album 'Anaspel' has received 16 international awards.
