Lanzarote Team Wins IX Canary Islands SurfSki Cup

The competition, held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, also saw the Lanzarote club crowned in the XXV Canary Islands Sea Kayak Championship.

The Los Marlines de Lanzarote team has demonstrated its dominance in Canary Island waters by winning the IX Canary Islands SurfSki Cup and the XXV Canary Islands Sea Kayak Championship, held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The competition, organized by the Real Club Victoria in collaboration with the Canary Islands Canoeing Federation, took place last Saturday at the iconic Las Canteras beach, covering the stretch from La Puntilla to Peña la Vieja.
The Lanzarote delegation, with significant representation, accumulated a total of 32 medals, broken down into 9 golds, 14 silvers, and 9 bronzes, solidifying their leading position in the event.
The runner-up position went to the Club Amigos del Piragüismo, which secured 30 medals, including 13 golds, 8 silvers, and 9 bronzes. Other prominent clubs in the medal standings included the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria, the Club San Andrés del Atlántico, the Aula Universitaria de Piragüismo de la ULPGC, and the Club Deportivo Shaka Surf Saving.
