The Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa has initiated its fourth institutional term with the re-election of José Valle as president, who will undertake his second consecutive period leading the entity.

Following the constitutive session from the recent electoral process, the 24 members of the Plenary supported José Valle's continuity. The event was attended by the Director General of Commerce and Consumption of the Government of the Canary Islands, the supervisory body for chambers of commerce in the archipelago.
The new Executive Committee, responsible for daily operations, was also appointed. José Valle will chair this body, accompanied by María del Carmen Martinón (First Vice-President), José Antonio Martínez (second vice-president), and Nayra Valls (treasurer). The committee is completed by members Beatriz Salazar, Raquel Caraballo, Rafael Lasso, and Nicolás López, aiming to reflect the business diversity of the islands.

"One of the main objectives of the new term will be to strengthen cooperation between public administrations and businesses as a tool to drive economic and social development in Lanzarote and La Graciosa."

José Valle · President of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa
Valle highlighted the intention to promote dialogue spaces for strategic projects, advocating for sustainable growth. The Chamber considers public-private coordination essential for addressing challenges such as competitiveness, economic diversification, innovation, and job creation.
The previous term was marked by significant organizational and budgetary growth, with an increase in financial resources from nearly one million to approximately three million euros. This allowed for the expansion of programs and services. Furthermore, the technical staff doubled, and the number of agreements with public administrations increased.
The Chamber reaffirms its role in representing and supporting entrepreneurs, self-employed individuals, and SMEs, offering advice, training, internationalization support, digitalization, and innovation initiatives. The new phase aims to consolidate its position as an intermediary between the business sector and public administrations.
