The route, spanning two kilometers with 400 meters of positive elevation gain, revives a path with significant historical value. The trail was historically used by the so-called gracioseras, women from the neighboring island of La Graciosa who carried baskets of fish on their heads along these same paths.
This sporting event will serve as the opening for a weekend of physical activity on the island. Following the Thursday inaugural session, the schedule will continue on Friday with the Kinder Trail category, designed for young runners.
The event will conclude on Saturday with various competitive distances, including the 12-kilometer Manriqueña Starter, the 23-kilometer Half Marathon, the 46-kilometer Marathon, and the 67-kilometer Ultra Marathon.
