Lanzarote Tourism has reinforced its promotion in the Cantabrian market with an event held in Santander on October 15th, seeking to strengthen commercial ties and generate new business opportunities.

The initiative, held at the Faro Santander Auditorium, included the participation of Nori Machín, Minister of Economic Promotion of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and La Graciosa. The event showcased the destination's strengths, including its unique landscape, culture, and heritage, as well as its offerings in nature, sports, and gastronomy.
Special emphasis was placed on promoting the Saborea Lanzarote 2027 Gastronomic Festival, highlighting local products. Attendees received a selection of representative Lanzarote products, such as wines, mojo picón, cheese, and salt from Janubio.
Oswaldo Betancort, President of the Cabildo and Minister of Tourism, underscored the importance of alliances in consolidating Lanzarote as an attractive year-round destination and promoting its gastronomy and local products, thereby generating economic activity.
Héctor Fernández, CEO of SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote, highlighted the commercial nature of the mission and its contribution to diversifying source markets, emphasizing the collaboration with CANTUR and the air connectivity as key factors for positioning in the northern Iberian Peninsula.
This action is part of a collaboration agreement signed on September 8th between SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote and CANTUR, aimed at reciprocal promotion and the exchange of tourism intelligence. The agreement includes joint promotional activities and collaborations in segments such as family tourism, golf, and gastronomy, leveraging the complementarity of both destinations and the direct Binter air connection between Lanzarote and Santander, operational from May to October.
