A 40-year-old woman has sustained serious multiple injuries after being hit by a vehicle in the Plaza Pueblo Marinero in the municipality of Teguise, Lanzarote, at 00:09 on July 16, 2026.

The Emergency and Safety Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1 1 2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert about a woman requiring medical assistance after being run over. The incident occurred in the aforementioned square at 00:09 hours.
Emergency services activated by 1 1 2 included a mobile intensive care unit and a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), as well as local police officers.
SUC personnel attended to and stabilized the victim, who suffered severe multiple injuries. She was subsequently transferred by a mobile intensive care unit to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
Local police officers secured the scene of the incident and initiated the corresponding report to clarify the circumstances of the hit-and-run.
